Great to meet you!

I'm a licensed psychotherapist who works with BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and/or neurodivergent adults who have spent a lot of time trying to understand themselves, but still feel stuck in painful patterns. You may already know where your struggles come from, yet find that insight alone hasn't brought the relief, self-compassion, or change you're hoping for. I've been a therapist for 5 years, and my training in internal family systems (IFS) therapy and somatic approaches has helped clients move beyond insight, experience relief in the body, and feel more whole and connected to themselves, others, and the world around them.

My approach to therapy

My approach is rooted in the idea that healing involves more than simply understanding why we struggle––it also involves developing a new relationship with ourselves, others, and the land/world. I'm level-2-trained in internal family systems, and draw from somatic therapy, relational-cultural therapy, and feminist approaches to explore the ways your experiences, relationships, histories, and systems of oppression have shaped you. Together, we'll make space to feel difficult feelings in a way that feels safe enough while also connecting with your creativity, strengths, and values. I specialize in working with BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and neurodivergent adults seeking to heal from trauma.

What you can expect from me

I view a first session as a chance for both of us to get to know each other and see if it feels like a good fit. We'll take time to understand what brings you to therapy, what you've already tried, and what you're hoping to change or heal. I'll invite you to share your story at your own pace rather than bombarding you with intense questions about your whole history. We'll begin identifying your goals and collaboratively explore and identify how therapy can support you. The hope would be to leave with you the beginnings of a roadmap towards the life and version of yourself you hope to have and become :)
