Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) with over 12 years of experience working with adults and older adults in psychiatric hospitals and outpatient clinics. I support individuals who are struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma/PTSD, stress, mood changes, and other mental health challenges.

My therapeutic approach is grounded in evidence-based treatments including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for PTSD, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I focus on helping clients understand how thoughts, emotions, and behaviors influence each other while building practical coping skills to manage stress, regulate emotions, and improve overall well-being.

I strive to provide a supportive and non-judgmental space where clients feel comfortable exploring their concerns and working toward meaningful and lasting change.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, supportive, and focused on practical change. I work with clients to understand how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors interact and how these patterns may be contributing to distress. Together, we identify areas where change is possible and develop strategies to improve emotional well-being and daily functioning.

I primarily use evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for trauma and PTSD, and skills from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). These approaches help clients learn practical coping strategies, challenge unhelpful thought patterns, regulate emotions, and build healthier ways of responding to life’s challenges.

I tailor treatment to each individual’s needs and goals. My focus is on helping clients gain insight, strengthen coping skills, and develop lasting tools to manage stress, mood changes, trauma-related symptoms, and other mental health concerns.

My goal is to create a respectful, non-judgmental environment where clients feel supported as they work toward meaningful and lasting change.

What you can expect from me

In the first session, my goal is to create a comfortable and supportive space where you can begin sharing what has been going on in your life and what led you to seek therapy. We will talk about your current concerns, emotional challenges, personal history, and the goals you would like to work toward in therapy.

I will ask questions to better understand your experiences, strengths, and areas where you may need support. Together, we will begin identifying priorities for treatment and discuss practical strategies that may help you manage symptoms such as stress, anxiety, depression, or trauma-related concerns.

The first session is also an opportunity for you to ask questions and see if my approach feels like a good fit for you. My goal is to create a respectful, non-judgmental environment where you feel heard, understood, and supported as we begin working toward meaningful change.
