Great to meet you!

Hello, I’m Dr. Sajid Baig, a board-certified psychiatrist dedicated to helping adults navigate challenges such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, trauma-related concerns, and co-occurring substance use issues. My approach is based on careful assessment, evidence-based treatment, and a strong commitment to understanding each person’s unique story, strengths, and goals.

I’ve had the privilege of working in diverse clinical settings—including outpatient psychiatry, inpatient hospital units, correctional mental health, crisis stabilization, and addiction treatment programs. These experiences have given me a deep appreciation for how differently psychiatric conditions can present and how important it is to tailor care to each individual’s circumstances. Whether you’re seeking support for the first time or have had prior treatment, I aim to provide clear guidance, steady support, and a treatment plan that feels both effective and collaborative.

My approach to therapy

I completed my psychiatry residency at Howard University Hospital, where I also served as Chief Resident, and earned my medical degree from St. Matthew’s University School of Medicine. My academic background includes research in psychopharmacology, metabolic monitoring for patients on antipsychotic medications, and treatment engagement, as well as presentations at national medical conferences. These experiences continue to shape how I think about diagnosis, medication management, and long-term wellness.

What you can expect from me

My goal is to create a supportive, respectful, and judgment-free space where you feel comfortable discussing what you’re experiencing. I believe in working with you—not just prescribing medications, but helping you understand your options, explore your goals, and make informed decisions about your care.

If you’re looking for a psychiatrist who values clinical expertise, open communication, and a collaborative approach, I would be honored to work with you.
