Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Sakena — a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Mental Health Counselor, and the big sister you’re not afraid to talk to. Before becoming a therapist, I spent nearly a decade in the corporate and tech world, so I understand what it’s like to be the “strong one,” the high performer, the responsible oldest daughter, or the person everyone else leans on.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, disconnected from yourself, or stuck in cycles you know you’ve outgrown, you’re in the right place. My clients are often high achievers, people-pleasers, perfectionists, or first-gen leaders who are tired of carrying it all alone.

My approach to therapy

My approach blends narrative therapy, somatic work, mindfulness, and practical tools to help you create real change — not just venting. Our early sessions are dedicated to understanding the people, places, patterns, and seasons that shaped you. Like reading the first chapters of your story, I want to know how you became who you are... and what you want the next chapter to look like.

I’m warm, direct, and deeply supportive. I’ll call you out kindly, hold you accountable, and create a space where you feel safe enough to be honest — maybe for the first time.

I believe therapy should feel like talking to someone who gets you and also challenges you. This is a space for clarity, compassion, insight, and action.

What you can expect from me

Clients often tell me they feel lighter after our very first session, like a weight has been lifted off their shoulders. Many say they’ve never felt so seen or understood.

During our first session, I’ll focus on getting to know you, not just your symptoms. I want to understand the roles you’ve had to play, the expectations you’ve carried, and the parts of yourself you’ve learned to hide. There’s no pressure to share more than you’re ready for. We’ll move at a pace that feels grounding and safe.

This isn’t a passive space. I’ll offer steps, reframes, and real-life tools you can take with you. You’ve tried doing the work on your own , now you get to do it with support, strategy, and someone truly in your corner.

I’m here to help you breathe again, slow down, and realign with the life and relationships you actually want.
