My name is Dr. Sakima Gonzalez, I'm a bilingual licensed psychotherapist that specializes on Latinx on issues related to trauma and emotional dysregulation. Are you feeling like you do not know how to deal with your emotions? Feeling sad, nervous, numb, empty, with no purpose, burnout and overwhelmed? A bit about my approach to therapy

I have more than 15 years of clinical practice. My style of is relaxed, compassionate, and welcoming to support you in your journey towards feeling better.

We will start exactly where you are and where you are willing to go. I have a strength based prospective with a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectic/Mindfulness and Narrative Therapy.

What you can expect from our first session

When we meet, my hope is for you to leave the session better than you came in, with at least one tool, one thought, one inspiration that you can hold on until our next meeting. We all need at least a little bit of hope in our lives!
