Safety is necessary to turn off the threat system, which reduces anxiety, improves sleep, improve appetite and help you return to strengthening the connections in your life.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I specialize in treating trauma responses, whether it’s big trauma or accumulation of little trauma. I am certified in EMDR, CBT, DBT and my ongoing interest in the mind-body connection has led to using somatic interventions in therapy. These interventions promote safety and security before addressing symptoms; this provides connection between the mind-body.

What you can expect from our first session

I’ll provide a therapeutic environment to foster emotional safety and you show up as your authentic self. From there you can expect to share your current concerns and review your story up until this present moment. you will leave the appointment with education about your disorder, potential outside activities plan of treatment.
