Great to meet you!

When you’re struggling to manage the responsibilities of life and it feels like there aren’t enough hours in the day, therapy can be a safe space to rest and reset. I’m Sally Cermeno, LMFT— a therapist with over 15 years of experience helping clients regulate their nervous system, reduce mental health symptoms, and return to living life with more ease and clarity.

I work with clients experiencing executive functioning difficulties, trauma‐related symptoms, anxiety disorders, and EAP‐related stressors. I incorporate evidence‐based practices such as CBT, DBT, and EMDR to address patterns of dysregulation and support overall wellness.

My work focuses on helping you understand what’s happening inside your mind and body, develop skills for self‐regulation and co‐regulation, and explore how attachment patterns influence your relationships. Interventions may include visualizations, mindfulness practices, somatic awareness, and bilateral stimulation through EMDR. Clients often report feeling more grounded, connected, and equipped with a clear plan forward.

Therapy with me is collaborative, compassionate, and paced in a way that feels safe and empowering.

If you’re struggling with trauma symptoms, anxiety, executive functioning deficits, or you’re seeking nervous system stabilization, contact me for a consultation to explore how treatment can support your healing. Let’s take this journey together.

My approach to therapy

I specialize in treating trauma responses, whether it’s big trauma or accumulation of little trauma. I am certified in EMDR, CBT, DBT and my ongoing interest in the mind-body connection has led to using somatic interventions in therapy. These interventions promote safety and security before addressing symptoms; this provides connection between the mind-body.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is a space for you to arrive just as you are. I’ll provide a therapeutic environment that centers emotional safety, dignity, and authenticity. Together, we’ll begin by exploring what brings you in—your current concerns, your story, and the experiences that have shaped your journey so far.

By the end of our time together, you can expect to:

  • Gain a clearer understanding of your experiences, including education about any diagnoses or patterns we identify
  • Begin identifying supportive practices or outside resources that align with your needs
  • Collaboratively develop a treatment plan that reflects your goals, values, and pace

This plan will serve as a flexible blueprint for our work together—guiding future sessions while leaving room for growth, insight, and change. Your voice and preferences are central to this process.
