Great to meet you!

Hello, my name is Sally, and I’m honored to walk with you on your healing journey. With over 39 years of global nursing experience—including trauma care, pediatric intensive care, emergency transport, and psychiatric nursing—I offer compassionate, integrative support rooted in both science and empathy.

My therapy dog, Zarah, is by my side in many sessions, helping foster connection, safety, and calm. Together, we offer a unique, relationship-based approach to healing.

I’m certified in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) through EMDRIA and trained in Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy and Equine-Assisted EMDR via Natural Lifemanship. I also have a certification in Equine-Assisted Life Coaching through Freedom Way. I specialize in trauma, anxiety, addiction, and complex medical-psychiatric conditions. I believe true healing comes from addressing the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—not just managing symptoms with medication alone.

Over the years, I’ve served in more than 100 global medical missions (including with Operation Smile) and helped establish programs for trafficked and vulnerable children in South Africa.

Supporting people in living full, abundant lives isn’t just my profession—it’s my calling.

My approach to therapy

My approach is gentle, thorough, and rooted in deep listening. I begin each client relationship by creating a safe and welcoming space where individuals feel respected and understood. In the first few sessions, I take time to explore your history, current concerns, and goals—paying close attention to the emotional, physical, and spiritual aspects of your life.

From there, I will work collaboratively with you to develop a personalized care plan that may include integrative psychiatric support, trauma-informed therapy (such as EMDR), somatic work, and, if appropriate, equine- or pet-assisted therapy with my dog, Zarah. My sessions are paced with sensitivity to your needs and readiness, allowing for authentic expression, nervous system regulation, and gradual transformation.

I emphasize building a relationship based on trust, compassion, and mutual respect. My clients often find that working with me not only helps them process trauma or manage symptoms, but also reconnects them with their own strength, clarity, and sense of purpose.

What you can expect from me

  • Clients can expect a safe, compassionate space where they feel deeply heard and respected. I use a gentle, thorough approach that begins by exploring your history, concerns, and goals at the emotional, physical, and spiritual levels. Together, I hope to create a personalized care plan that may include integrative psychiatric support, trauma-informed therapy like EMDR, somatic practices, and—when appropriate—pet- or equine-assisted therapy with her dog Zarah. Sessions are paced with sensitivity to your needs, supporting nervous system regulation and authentic growth. Clients often leave feeling more grounded, empowered, and connected to their inner strength and purpose.
