Great to meet you!

As a licensed therapist for over 20 years, I have worked with a wide variety of clients & settings, some of which were via outpatient behavioral health agencies, home & school-based, & military service members/families, both in the US & overseas. I was not initially prepared to embrace teletherapy but have found that I am able to work more flexibly & effectively with a broad range of motivated clients in an environment in which we are both comfortable, while not compromising on quality or care.

A bit about my approach to therapy

In addition to assisting clients with their presenting issues I also help to identify potential underlying factors that may have contributed to their lack of lasting progress. I value meeting clients where they are, really hearing the complexity of their unique experience, and regularly check-in to see if they feel comfortable with the direction of our work together.

What you can expect from our first session

Feedback most often highlighted in client reviews of my work with them has been that I am a perceptive listener, non-judgmental and very engaged. I make an intentional effort to meet client individual expectations, challenging & giving clients "homework" in-between sessions, or moving at a slower pace. Clients often report they developed trust and comfort with me faster than they expected.
