Great to meet you!

I've spent 32 years as a Licensed Professional Counselor, 41 years in child abuse work. I specialize in trauma and child abuse, comfortable with court ordered and non compliant clients. I work with teens 11 and up through adults, understanding the cycle of abuse firsthand. I raised three kids as a single mom while running my practice, so I know what it takes to show up fully for people. My reputation was built through relationships.

My approach to therapy

My approach is personal, not formulaic. I stay engaged with you in session rather than burying myself in note taking. I bring decades of experience with trauma, anxiety, depression, and family dynamics, meeting people where they are, including those guarded or hesitant to open up. I'm direct about what will help, and I'll tell you if something isn't working. My goal is building trust so our work can go deep enough to create lasting change.

What you can expect from me

Your first session with me is relaxed and conversational, not clinical or stiff. I'll ask what brought you in and listen closely to understand your life. I take a few notes early on, but my attention stays on you, not paperwork. We'll talk through your goals and what support could look like going forward. Sessions are virtual, so you can meet from wherever feels comfortable. You'll leave knowing what to expect and feeling heard.
