Great to meet you!

Hello, I’m Salome Okereke, a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with more than eight years of nursing experience in behavioral health, home care, medical-surgical nursing, and clinical leadership. I earned my Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University.

I provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and personalized medication management for adults ages 18 and older. I specialize in helping individuals navigate anxiety, depression, mood disorders, ADHD, trauma-related symptoms, sleep difficulties, and life transitions. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and patient-centered, with a focus on creating individualized treatment plans that support emotional well-being, stability, and lasting mental wellness.

I am passionate about helping people better understand their mental health and receive care that recognizes them as a whole person.

My goal is to create a welcoming, respectful environment where you feel heard, supported, and comfortable participating in your treatment.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, open-minded, affirming, and collaborative. I take time to understand your symptoms, experiences, concerns, and treatment goals before making recommendations. I believe mental health care should be individualized, so we will work together to develop a treatment plan that fits your needs, preferences, and lifestyle.

When appropriate, treatment may include medication management, supportive interventions, education, healthy lifestyle strategies, and coordination with your other healthcare providers. I will explain your options clearly, answer your questions, and ensure that you feel involved in decisions about your care.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, you can expect a welcoming, confidential, and judgment-free conversation. We will discuss what brought you to treatment, your current symptoms, medical and psychiatric history, medications, daily functioning, support system, and goals for care. I will also give you time to ask questions and share any concerns you may have.

By the end of the appointment, we will discuss my clinical impressions and begin developing a treatment plan together. My priority is not to rush the process, but to understand you as a whole person and make thoughtful, safe recommendations that support your well-being.
