I am a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and have over 8 years of nursing experience in the psychiatric field ranging from Teens, adult and geriatric inpatient care to community mental health crisis stabilization and substance abuse treatment. I received my Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Chamberlain College of nursing and immediately started working as a psychiatric nurse in an inpatient hospital.
My focus is on the treatment of mood disorders, depression, anxiety, insomnia, trauma, psychotic disorders and chronic mental illness through psychiatric assessment, medication management and brief psycho therapeutic intervention for clients. I believe in creating an individualized plan of care that values client involvement inter professional, collaboration and evidenced-based practice. My goal for my clients is to feel empowered to treat their illness through supportive education in a stigma free environment.
A client can expect their initial visit to include a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, determination of treatment goals and education about diagnosis and available treatment options. I have the pleasure of working alongside many skilled and experienced clinicians and am happy to collaborate and coordinate care with them when appropriate to the clients’ needs.
