Great to meet you!

Hello, my name is Salomon Garcia, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Southern California with over 8 years of experience working with teens and adults. I support individuals facing anxiety, OCD, depression, trauma, work stress, low self-esteem, and life transitions.

While coping skills are an important part of therapy, I believe lasting change comes from understanding the core beliefs and past experiences where these challenges originate. Using CBT, ACT, and person-centered therapy, I help clients explore and heal underlying trauma, gain insight into long-standing patterns, and move toward growth and a more authentic version of themselves.

I offer a calm, supportive, and non-judgmental space where clients can feel safe to be open and engage in meaningful change.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is person-centered, collaborative, and trauma-informed. Over the years, my style has developed around the belief that personal growth and meaningful change begin with the client. You are the expert on your lived experience, and my role is to support, guide, and walk alongside you as we explore what is most meaningful to you.

While coping skills can be helpful, I believe lasting change comes from understanding the core beliefs and past experiences where anxiety, depression, OCD, and emotional distress often originate. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to examine unhelpful thought patterns, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to build psychological flexibility and values-based action, and person-centered therapy to create a safe, non-judgmental space for authentic self-expression.

Together, we work toward healing underlying trauma, increasing self-awareness, and creating a life that feels aligned, grounded, and truly your own.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is relaxed and low-pressure. We’ll start by getting to know each other and talking about what brought you to therapy. There’s no right or wrong way to begin, and you’re welcome to share only what feels comfortable.

We’ll gently explore what you’d like to work on and begin shaping a plan that fits your goals. From there, sessions move at your pace, with the focus on creating a safe, supportive space where real growth can happen.
