Great to meet you!

Welcome! I'm Saloomeh, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and the founder of Pathways with Saloomeh. I help adults work through anxiety, trauma and PTSD, stress, grief, and relationship challenges, with a special interest in supporting new and expecting parents, healthcare professionals, and people navigating cultural transitions. I earned my master's degree from John F. Kennedy University and am trained in EMDR. I offer sessions in English and Farsi, and my globally informed, culturally sensitive perspective shapes everything I do. Above all, I want you to feel safe, understood, and never judged.

My approach to therapy

I believe healing happens in a relationship built on trust, so we'll move at a pace that feels right for you. I blend deep empathy with practical, evidence-based methods, including EMDR, Cognitive Processing Therapy, CBT, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and tailor them to your specific goals. I also pay close attention to attachment patterns and the ways past experiences shape how you relate to yourself and others today. Together we'll build tools you can use between sessions while working toward deeper, lasting change.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is a conversation, not an interrogation. I'll ask what brings you to therapy, what you've tried before, and what you hope will be different, and you're welcome to share as much or as little as feels comfortable. We'll talk about how I work, answer any questions you have, and begin shaping a personalized plan together. Most people leave feeling a little lighter and with a clearer sense of what comes next.
