Great to meet you!

If you're feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, trauma, or navigating a difficult life transition, you're not alone. I work with adult individuals, couples, and families to help them reshape unhelpful thought patterns and build emotional connections with others. Through our work together, you'll gain the tools to feel more in control of your emotions and move forward with clarity. I use EMDR and emotionally focused therapy. I take a warm, holistic, and humorous approach.

My approach to therapy

I use EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and Emotionally Focused Therapy, two approaches that help people process difficult experiences and better understand the emotions that shape their relationships, behaviors, and sense of self. EMDR is a trauma-focused therapy that helps the brain reprocess painful memories so they feel less overwhelming, while Emotionally Focused Therapy helps people identify and work through deeper emotional patterns that can affect how they connect with others and with themselves.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and holistic. I believe therapy works best when you feel safe, respected, and able to show up exactly as you are. Together, we will explore what you’ve been carrying, make sense of your experiences, and develop tools that help you move forward with greater clarity and confidence.

I also believe healing doesn’t have to feel heavy all the time. While we will do meaningful and sometimes difficult work, I bring a human, grounded, and occasionally humorous presence into sessions. Humor can help create connection and remind us that growth can happen even in the middle of life’s challenges.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we’ll take time to get to know each other in a warm, supportive, and confidential space where you can feel safe sharing whatever feels most important to you. I understand that starting therapy can bring up a mix of emotions, and there is no pressure to have everything figured out right away. This initial meeting is simply an opportunity for us to begin building trust and understanding.

We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, the challenges you may be experiencing, and what you hope life might look like if things begin to feel better. You are welcome to share as much or as little as feels comfortable. I may ask some gentle questions to learn more about your experiences, your strengths, and the areas where you would like support.

We’ll also discuss your goals for therapy and how we might work together to help you move toward them. My role is to meet you with curiosity, compassion, and respect, and to create a space where you feel heard, understood, and supported. By the end of the session, we’ll have a clearer sense of what you’re hoping for and whether working together feels like a good fit for you.
