Great to meet you!

"The best way out is always through." (Robert Frost, A Servant to Servants)

Hello! I'm a native of Colorado and an experienced psychotherapist dedicated to helping clients find their pathway forward. Over the past two decades, I've worked with youth, families, and adults in both outpatient and inpatient settings. My clinical experience spans non-profit treatment agencies and community mental health, where promoting social justice is a passion of mine. I've worked in private practice for the past seven years, which has bolstered my skills and desire to join all clients seeking change and additional support to spark that change. I offer both in-person and virtual services, as well as accept private pay, if insurance is not an option.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Boston College. My extensive training includes attachment-based and trauma-informed interventions such as Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Internal Family Systems, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Brainspotting, Emotional Freedom Technique, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Additionally, I have significant experience as a Full Operating Juvenile SOMB provider and approved Clinical Supervisor, addressing sexual trauma at personal, relational, and systemic levels. I have also provided clinical supervision to interns, licensed, and license-eligible therapists.

I specialize in a range of areas, including suicidal ideation and self-harming, adolescent and teen mental/behavioral health, anger management, anxiety, depression, family relationships, gender identity, grief/bereavement, LGBTQIA+ support, life transitions, multicultural/diversity issues, intimate/romantic relationships, spirituality, stress, and trauma.

My approach to therapy

My approach is primarily Interpersonal and Humanistic, meaning the therapeutic relationship is key to progress, and no two clients or therapeutic relationships are alike. I thrive when clients are interested in insightful self-discovery and are willing to engage in less structured work, examining past and present relationships in their lives, including their relationship with themselves. Whether it's short-term, solution-oriented work or diving deeper into growth and vulnerability, I aim to facilitate meaningful, authentic work.

I am eager to communicate with any prospective clients to discuss my background and qualifications, as I understand the importance of a good fit. I wish you the best and thank you for your consideration!

What you can expect from me

I will offer compassion and curiosity, as we work together to find a pathway forward.

“It’s not so much that we must endure and accept a situation as a finality. It means that to get some sort of healing from a situation, to get ‘out,’ we must embrace and go through our ordeal wholeheartedly, with inquiry and desire for self-awareness. When we fantasize, when we bemoan every moment of our lives, then we have surrendered our ability – our responsibility – to change things for the better.” (Lady Diane, Poet)
