Great to meet you!

I am a naturally inquisitive person who is here to build a warm and safe space for clients to be authentically themselves. I enjoy working with clients who have a desire to gain insight into themselves, grow self-compassion, learn functional coping skills, and build healthy boundaries.

My approach to therapy

I primarily utilize a mixture of Emotion-Focused Therapy, Attachment Theory, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Sex Therapy. I offer client-centered, humanistic, queer-affirming, and culturally sensitive treatment. I also come from a scientific background and utilize this knowledge to give insight.

What you can expect from me

The first session will be mostly background information about yourself and your presenting concern(s). We will also complete some necessary paperwork. Depending on time, we may then start to work on whatever presenting concern(s) brought you into therapy.

The first session is an opportunity for us to begin to form a therapeutic alliance (to "join"). This includes me getting to know you as a person beyond simply your presenting concern(s). You also are encouraged to ask me any questions you might have about myself or the process of therapy.
