Great to meet you!

As a Black American and West Indian heterosexual female, I have experienced various forms of trauma and microaggressions that have impacted the way I experience the world. As a result, I am always looking at the larger picture. Mental health has become less stigmatizing and more accessible as telehealth continues to expand and it removes barriers that once existed. It is my core belief that we all could benefit from self-exploration and inner growth as we navigate an evolving world.

My approach to therapy

My goal is to develop an authentic relationship with each of my clients by understanding their culture, religion, race, and other facets that make them who they are. This will allow me to help them navigate their world. Although I take an eclectic approach to therapy, I often draw on psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and strength-based techniques/skills and tailor them to the individual needs of my clients who are unique in their own ways.

What you can expect from me

My goal is for clients to feel safe and able to freely be themselves. My clients and I will work collaboratively to solve problems, increase their self-confidence, and create healing so they could live an emotionally and mentally healthy life.
