Great to meet you!

My name is Samantha Ewing, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas and a Licensed Mental Health Professional (LMHC) in Florida with over 8 years of experience. I hold a master’s degree in clinical psychology from the University of Texas at Tyler. I specialize in helping adults navigate challenges related to depression, anxiety, stress, substance abuse, mood disorders, psychotic disorders, and grief. My therapeutic approach is client-centered, and I tailor my methods to meet the individual needs of each client, ensuring a personalized and effective therapeutic experience.

My approach to therapy

I believe in fostering a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental space where clients can explore and overcome their challenges. I adapt my approach based on each client's unique needs, integrating a variety of techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness practices, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Client-Centered Therapy. This flexibility allows me to support clients in a way that resonates with them and facilitates lasting change.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, clients can expect a warm and welcoming environment where we begin by discussing your reasons for seeking therapy and any specific challenges you’re facing. I’ll take the time to listen carefully to your concerns and ask questions to better understand your background and goals. We’ll also talk about what you can expect from therapy and explore your preferences in the therapeutic process. The first session is an opportunity to establish a foundation of trust, clarify your expectations, and set initial goals for our work together. By the end of the session, we’ll have a shared understanding of how we can move forward in a way that best supports your needs.
