Great to meet you!

Hi! My formal education in Forensic Mental Health Counseling has provided me with a variety of experiences and really emphasized the importance of taking an individualized approach to therapy. Finding the positive in negative moments and utilizing humor are staples in my sessions. Employing self-compassion takes strength, and I believe whole-heartedly in helping people see just how strong they are.

My approach to therapy

No two people are the same, so I take an eclectic, individualized approach to treatment. While all my treatment modalities are empirically based, I tailor a mix of approaches to each client based on their needs. Although I work with a variety of populations, I am a certified clinical trauma professional, an ADHD-certified clinical services provider, and a Certified Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist. I also have significant experience with people with schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders, anxiety, and depression.

What you can expect from me

In my first sessions, I really focus on trying to understand what your goals for therapy are and getting a better idea of all the areas you are struggling with or want to improve. Even with a first session filled with questions, I still strive for making things feel warm and not robotic. Don't know what your therapy goals are? Don't worry! I'm here to help consolidate difficulties into achievable, objective goals that we will strive towards in the following sessions.
