Life’s major transitions, like becoming a mother, navigating fertility challenges, relationship changes, or redefining who you are, can feel overwhelming, isolating, and nothing like you imagined. You may be juggling others’ expectations while feeling exhausted, disconnected, or unsure of who you are anymore. Or perhaps you’re carrying the weight of old wounds, such as difficult childhood experiences, trauma, or painful relationships, that make it hard to show up the way you want to in the present. Many of the women I work with long to feel more grounded, confident, and connected to themselves and their families. Reaching out for help takes courage, and it can be the first step toward relief and meaningful change. If you’re ready to feel more supported, connected, and empowered in your life, I would be honored to walk alongside you in that journey.

I am a licensed clinical psychologist, who received both my Masters and Doctorate from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology, Chicago. I am also a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) and am currently working towards my Perinatal Mental Health Certification (PMH-C). I specialize in perinatal mental health (fertility, pregnancy, motherhood, etc.), as well as developmental/relational trauma (very difficult childhoods, parents who struggled with their own mental health issues), and women's mental health.

My approach to therapy

Using warmth, empathy, direct feedback and skill building I want to help you minimize your daily struggles, but I also find it invaluable to explore how past experiences have affected the ways in which you interact with your world in the present. By exploring underlying roots to emotional distress, and identifying unmet needs you are able to nurture more connected relationships, uncover thought and behavioral patterns that interfere with happiness, master effective coping skills, and experience overall symptom reduction.

I do offer a free 15-minute consultation, a no-pressure conversation where we can discuss what you’re going through, whether we might be a good fit, and answer any questions you have about starting therapy.

What you can expect from me

I pride myself on being an active participant in our sessions, while also encouraging and empowering you to take the lead on your healing and treatment. In our sessions you can expect a lot of warmth and empathy, alongside directness and honesty, with lots of humanness and humor along the way.
