Great to meet you!

I view therapy as a collaborative process where you are the expert on your own life and experiences. My role is to support you in gaining insight, developing tools, and unlocking the potential that already exists within you.

I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Doctor of Pharmacy with over 20 years of healthcare experience. My background gives me a unique understanding of how mental health, stress, and physical health intersect.

I work with adults navigating anxiety, trauma, burnout, identity-related stress, and life transitions. My approach is trauma-informed, collaborative, and culturally responsive.

I also support clients who want help understanding the relationship between mental health and medications, drawing on my background in psychopharmacology.

As a Black Caribbean American therapist and LGBTQIA+ affirming clinician, I strive to create a space where clients feel safe exploring identity, processing past experiences, and reconnecting with their authentic selves.

My approach to therapy

I use an eclectic approach to therapy, meaning I draw from multiple therapeutic frameworks to support each client in the way that fits them best. Therapy is not one-size-fits-all, so we work together to find the tools, perspectives, and strategies that help you grow, heal, and move forward.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect the first session to feel conversational, supportive, and focused on understanding their needs. We’ll talk about what’s bringing you to therapy, the challenges you’re currently facing, and what you hope to gain from our work together.

I may ask questions about your background, relationships, stressors, and any previous experiences with therapy so I can better understand the full picture of your life. You’re welcome to share at your own pace—there’s no pressure to discuss anything before you’re ready.

Together we’ll begin identifying goals for therapy and discuss what approaches might be most helpful. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, understood, and with a clearer sense of how therapy can support you moving forward.
