Great to meet you!

Hello and welcome! I'm a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. That means I went to school for a very long time just so I could be here to help you. I'm here to guide you along your mental health journey. I'm somone who has been reffered to by others as a "natural born counselor". I like to think of it as counseling is something thats in my bones. My empathy, hope, and compassion along with my education and training enable me be there for you on this difficult journey.

My approach to therapy

I know that starting counseling can be scary. That's why I show up for you as my most authetic self. This enables me to help you stop living in fear and start living the way you want.

I am a trauma-informed counselor. I create a comfortable and safe environment so that you will able to think about and discuss those difficult topics you know you've been avoiding.

What you can expect from me

Together we will manage the difficulty by going at the pace that you are comfortable with. By learning skills to help manage the hard stuff and practice together how to use those both in session and IRL.

My foundational approach to my work is person-centered. This means that I see you as the expert of your own life. My role is to provide support, education, skills, perspective, and anything else you need without claiming to know better than you do about yourself. I also use some Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques, and a multi-cultural and feminist apporach
