Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Sam! I’m a licensed clinical social worker and EMDR therapist who is deeply committed to helping people feel safe, understood, and empowered in their healing. My work is shaped by both professional training and lived experience, including being a survivor of religious trauma. This gives me a nuanced and compassionate lens when supporting clients navigating spiritual harm, identity shifts, and complex emotional wounds. I specialize in working with therapists, helpers, healers, and high-achieving individuals who often feel burnt out, overwhelmed, or unsure of their place in their work or lives.

My approach to therapy

My approach is integrative and trauma-informed, drawing from EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Narrative Therapy. I focus on helping clients process painful experiences, reduce emotional distress, and reconnect with a sense of self-trust, meaning, and resilience. Whether we’re addressing religious trauma, anxiety, grief, burnout, or professional identity concerns, I prioritize depth, collaboration, and creating a space where you don’t have to perform or have it all figured out to be worthy of care.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a warm, grounded, and low-pressure space where we focus on getting to know you—your story, your goals, and what feels most urgent or heavy right now. We’ll talk through what brings you to therapy, explore your hopes for the process, and begin shaping a plan that feels aligned with your needs. There’s no expectation to share everything at once; we’ll move at a pace that feels safe, respectful, and empowering while building a foundation for deeper work ahead.
