Great to meet you!

Hello! My name is Samantha Lotter, LCSW. I am a passionate professional who has been working in community mental health for the past 10 years. I'm excited to use my clinical, practical, and empathetic skills to support you on your journey.

I've been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for 4 years with 10 years of experience in the Social Work field. I earned my undergraduate degree in social work from Adelphi University and completed my graduate studies at Stony Brook University, specializing in Social Work and Trauma Informed Practices. I've also taken master's level courses in Applied Behavior Analysis at the Florida Institute of Technology.

Originally from Long Island, New York, I've called Denver, CO home for the past 10 years. In my free time, I enjoy walking my dog, snuggling with my cat, attending live music events, and practicing yoga with friends. I'm passionate about reading fantasy books and researching psychology and behavior!

My approach to therapy

My mission is to provide effective, compassionate mental health care in a supportive, judgment-free environment. I offer therapy that is practical, collaborative, and individualized—so you can better understand your experiences, build coping skills, and make meaningful changes.

My clinical focus includes supporting autistic (ASD) individuals and their families, as well as people navigating patterns often associated with personality disorders (including challenges with emotion regulation, identity, relationships, and interpersonal conflict). I also work with general mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, stress/burnout, trauma-related symptoms, life transitions, and caregiver support.

I use evidence-based approaches (including CBT/DBT and skills-based strategies) while maintaining a strengths-based, trauma-informed lens that honors neurodiversity and each person’s unique background, values, and goals.

What you can expect from me

I understand that finding the right therapeutic fit is crucial for successful outcomes. That's why I offer a complimentary 15-minute phone consultation to discuss your specific needs and determine if my approach aligns with your goals. During this call, I'm happy to answer any questions about my experience, therapeutic methods, or logistical concerns you might have.
