Great to meet you!

My name is Sam Miller, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with a Master's degree in Clinical Counseling. I obtained my certifications from Anna Maria College. Prior to my private practice, I worked in community-based programs focused on supporting youth, young adults, and adults with mental health diagnoses. This experience allowed me to work with diverse populations and a range of mental health disorders, enhancing my understanding of intervention strategies tailored to meet specific client needs.

My approach to therapy

I approach my work with clients through a strength-based and trauma-informed perspective. I am trained in evidence-based therapy modalities, including EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, which I incorporate into my practice. By collaborating with clients to identify their needs and personal goals, I aim to support them lead a more fulfilling life.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we’ll spend time getting to know each other and discussing what brought you to therapy. You can share as much or as little as you feel comfortable with, and I may ask questions about your current concerns and what you hope to gain from therapy. My approach is strength-based and trauma-informed, focusing on your resilience while recognizing how past experiences may shape present challenges. Together, we will begin identifying your goals and tailoring therapy to meet your individual needs.
