Great to meet you!

I am Samantha Motie, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with four years of experience supporting women through the unique challenges of motherhood. My work focuses on young mothers, single mothers, and individuals navigating perinatal mental health, including pregnancy, postpartum adjustment, and the emotional transitions that come with this stage of life.

I provide a warm, nonjudgmental space where clients can feel seen, heard, and supported. I understand that accessing therapy as a parent—especially with young children at home—can be challenging, so I strive to make the process as adaptable and inclusive as possible. Whether that means flexible scheduling, virtual sessions, or creating space for the realities of parenting during sessions, I aim to meet clients where they are without judgment.

My approach to therapy

My approach is integrative, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, and Internal Family Systems (IFS). Through CBT, I help clients identify and shift unhelpful thought patterns; through a person-centered lens, I prioritize empathy and authenticity; and with IFS, I support clients in understanding and healing different parts of themselves with compassion.

I welcome you to take this journey with me to collaboratively work towards your optimal mental health goals.
