Anxiety, Chronic Conditions, Eating Disorders, Family Issues, and Relationship Issues

Great to meet you!

I work with individual adults on anxiety, relationship issues, chronic illness/caretaking, life transitions (starting college, having a baby, empty nest). I work with clients on communication, boundary setting, and anxiety management. I have experience working with eating disorders and gender expansive clients. I have my master's in couple and family therapy from Thomas Jefferson University and additional trainings in PTSD. My work is always trauma-informed.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I see individuals through a systemic lens, relating to bigger systems, like the family and the community. This helps clients understand their roles in interactional patterns and where they can take responsibility to make change. This approach is supported by an array of other approaches: psychodynamic, which increases awareness about you as an individual; CBT, which targets change in thoughts and behaviors; and strengths-based, which builds on what makes you equipped to meet your goals.

What you can expect from our first session

Clients can expect to take away the sense of relief that comes with someone listening deeply about their individual experience. After I learn about your current issues and history, clients can expect to take away ideas for how they might approach things differently, for example, tools for anxiety management, communication, or boundary setting. Clients can also expect to gain understanding of the forces that have impacted them in their lives and how they want to approach life to meet their goals.
