Great to meet you!

Hi there! My name is Samantha Pope (she/her). I'm so glad you're here. I'm a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW). I have spent the majority of my career working with the foster care youth population and have treated a wide range of mental, emotional, and behavioral health issues in children and adults. I have also worked with many people in the LGBTQIA+ community to address both mental health and environmental impacts. I often employ an eclectic approach to therapy, utilizing a variety of interventions so that I can find the right fit for each individual person. I believe you are the expert on your own life experiences, and that we can work together to address your concerns and help you grow.

My approach to therapy

I employ an eclectic approach to therapy, utilizing a variety of interventions so that I find the right fit for each individual person. Some of the interventions I use are cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectic-behavioral therapy (DBT), play therapy, art therapy, person-centered therapy, solution-focused therapy, and trauma-focused cognitive-behavioral therapy (TFCBT).

What you can expect from me

Our first session will focus on discussing your background, talking with you about your concerns, identifying your goals for treatment, and going over informed consent. I will have plenty of questions for you, and I'm happy to answer any questions you have for me as well.
