Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Samantha- a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) who works with teens, young adults, and adults going through some of life's harder moments, whether that's anxiety, depression, big life changes, or relationship struggles. I have experience across a range of settings including school-based, telehealth, and outpatient care.

When I'm not in session, you can find me trying out a new craft project or rewatching the X-Files on repeat. Fair warning: I'll likely have an iced matcha in hand during our sessions. Emotional support beverage highly recommended.

My approach to therapy

I really believe that you know yourself best, and that the best therapy happens when we work together as a team. My job isn't to hand you a script- it's to get to know you, understand what you're going through, and figure out together what's actually going to help. I like to call myself "eclectic". I pull from a mix of approaches including CBT, DBT, ACT, IFS, and Motivational Interviewing, but honestly, I'm flexible. What matters most to me is that what we're doing actually works for you.

I'm big on creating a space where you can show up exactly as you are- no pressure, no judgment. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, lost, or just ready for something to shift, I'm here for it. We'll go at your pace and build on the strengths you already have.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is a mix of structured intake questions and information gathering as well as conversation. We'll start by covering the important logistics and paperwork so we're set up on the same page, and then we'll ease into just getting to know each other. I'll want to hear about what's bringing you in, what's been going on, and what you're hoping to get out of therapy. There's no pressure to have it all figured out- most people don't when they first come in, and that's completely okay. My biggest goal for that first session is simply that you leave feeling heard and like this could be a space that's really yours.
