Great to meet you!

My name is Samantha Tepper and I am an Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I graduated from Loyola University in 2013 with my Master of Social Work and began working at the Department of Veterans Affairs. I have served veterans with various mental health concerns ranging from homelessness to aging. In the past year I have expanded to seeing clients seeking clarity and relief from anxiety and depression.

My approach to therapy

I take an eclectic approach to psychotherapy, weaving together Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with Person-Centered and Strength Based modalities. Through these lenses I will offer tools to help challenge and change behaviors that no longer serve you. We cannot control everything we experience but we can manage our reactions and the impact they have on us.

What you can expect from me

Our first session will be an introduction and orientation for both of us. We will begin getting to know each other, we will build trust and rapport through connection, storytelling, and humor. My goal is to cultivate a sense of safety and support you in your goals.
