Great to meet you!

Hello, I’m Samera Bishop Adams, LCSW. I believe healing begins in a safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental environment where you feel heard, respected, and supported.

I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, grief, stress, relationship concerns, adjustment to life changes, and other emotional challenges. As a licensed clinical social worker, I understand the connection between physical health and emotional well being, and I strive to help clients improve both.

I have graduate level training in trauma informed care and use evidence based therapeutic approaches to help clients develop healthy coping skills, build resilience, and create lasting change. Whether you are navigating a difficult life transition or healing from past experiences, I will meet you where you are and support you every step of the way.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy should be collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to each person’s unique needs. Together we will identify your goals, explore patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and develop practical tools to help you move forward with confidence.

My approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, psychodynamic principles, and strengths based interventions. I provide trauma informed care throughout the therapeutic process and focus on helping clients build resilience, increase self awareness, and improve emotional well being.

My goal is to create a safe, supportive and judgment free environment where you feel comfortable being yourself while developing the skills needed to make meaningful and lasting changes.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another. We will discuss what brought you to therapy, explore your current concerns, review relevant aspects of your history, and identify your goals for treatment.

You do not need to have everything figured out before you begin. My priority is creating a welcoming space where you feel comfortable sharing at your own pace. Together we will develop a personalized treatment plan that reflects your goals, builds on your strengths, and supports your journey toward healing and personal growth.
