Great to meet you!

I am a compassionate and collaborative therapist who works with adults and couples navigating anxiety, relationship concerns, life transitions, self-esteem, identity, intimacy, and the impact of difficult religious or cultural experiences.

I understand that beginning therapy can feel vulnerable, especially when discussing relationships, sexuality, faith, or parts of yourself that may have been judged or misunderstood. My goal is to create a welcoming, affirming space where you can speak honestly, feel supported, and explore what matters most to you without shame.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, conversational, collaborative, and tailored to each client. I do not believe therapy should feel like someone is simply observing you or telling you what to do. We will work together to better understand the patterns, experiences, and beliefs influencing your emotions, relationships, and choices.

I integrate evidence-based approaches with curiosity, compassion, and practical tools. Depending on your needs, our work may include exploring relationship patterns, building healthier communication skills, challenging unhelpful beliefs, strengthening emotional regulation, developing boundaries, and reconnecting with your values and sense of self. I strive to provide therapy that is culturally responsive, sex-positive, LGBTQ+ affirming, and sensitive to religious trauma.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin creating a comfortable, trusting relationship. I will invite you to share what brought you to therapy, what has been feeling difficult, and what you hope will change. We may also discuss important relationships, past experiences, current stressors, and any previous experiences with therapy.

You do not need to arrive with everything figured out or share more than you are ready to. Together, we will identify your initial goals and discuss how therapy can best support you. My priority is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, respected, and clearer about the next steps in your healing process.
