Great to meet you!

If you are feeling stuck in patterns you don’t fully understand, whether that’s in your relationships, your sense of identity, or how you relate to yourself, and you’ve tried to “figure it out” on your own, but something still isn’t shifting. I can help you! Hi, my name is Samuel. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and a PhD candidate in Psychology. I believe that people already hold the capacity for growth, healing, and change within themselves, but sometimes don't have the ability to tap into it. My role as a therapist is to help you reconnect with those strengths in a supportive, collaborative space where you feel genuinely seen and understood.

My approach to therapy

I pride myself on being a calm presence who helps clients ground themselves in the moment so they can focus on gaining the insight they need to make changes in their lives. I take a person-centered, humanistic approach, creating a supportive space where you feel seen, understood, and empowered to grow. I work with children, adolescents, adults, and couples using a solution-focused lens to build on your strengths and create meaningful change. With couples, I incorporate the Gottman Method to improve communication, rebuild trust, and strengthen connection. I am also EMDR trained and able to assist in the processing of traumatic events for individuals and couples.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, we will focus on setting goals and understanding the process of therapy. We will be able to explore some of your desires and concerns, so that we are both aligned on how I can best support you throughout your therapeutic journey.
