Great to meet you!

I believe meaningful change begins with feeling truly heard, understood, and respected. Having participated in therapy myself, I appreciate the vulnerability and strength involved in reaching out and sharing your story. I want you to feel welcomed, safe, and accepted from the very beginning. I bring experience helping individuals and families navigate trauma, anxiety, depression, difficult life transitions, and addiction. My background includes individual and group therapy, family recovery programs that deal with the court systems and DCFS, and clinical supervision.

My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and honest without judgement. I offer a supportive space where we can explore what is keeping you stuck, recognize your strengths, and developed practical tools for moving forward. I balance encouragement with accountability and tailor our work to your needs and goals.

Above all, I want you to know that your past does not define your future, and you do not have to navigate change alone.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and practical. You are the expert on your own life, and our work will be guided by your priorities, strengths, values, and goals.

Together we'll explore how your experiences, thoughts, and feelings influence your choices and relationships, identify patterns that may be getting in the way, and develop skills to support meaningful, lasting change.

I integrate cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, trauma informed care, and common elements treatment approach, tailoring our work to your needs and preferences. My style is warm and direct: I'll offer support, ask thoughtful questions, and gently challenge you when it aligns with what you want to accomplish. You remain in control of the process and we'll move at a pace that feels manageable while taking purposeful steps toward the life you want.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a warm welcoming, nonjudgmental space where we begin getting to know each other. We'll talk about what brought you to therapy, your current concerns, and what you hope to gain from our work together. I'll ask questions about your background, strengths, and support system, and explain confidentiality and what the therapy process involves.

You don't need to have anything figured out or share anything you don't want to share. There will be room for your questions and concerns. We'll begin to identify your goals together. My priority is for you to feel heard, respected, and comfortable taking the next steps.
