Great to meet you!

With early career experience in detox and inpatient rehabilitation settings, I moved on to working in intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization programs. This included acting as the primary therapist for a 18-24 month recovery court program. I have worked with telehealth for more than 5 years. I work with individuals and couples. My education focus was social work with a secondary focus on peace studies.

My approach to therapy

As a clinical social worker, I aim to support your self-determination through empowerment and a strengths-based approach. I utilize motivational interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), schema therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). I'm informed in Gottman interventions and 12 Step principles.

What you can expect from me

Whether you have experience with therapy or not, my first goal when meeting you is to offer a space in which you feel safe and free from judgement. Secondary to that, I want to understand your story and how I can help. Seeking therapy takes strength and vulnerability so I endeavor to honor that. I offer optimistic perspectives with genuine recognition of your struggles. Clients come to me seeking assistance for a wide array of concerns including substance abuse or dependence, mood disorders, anxiety, trauma, grief, couples issues, and ADHD.
