Great to meet you!

I am Sandi Boone, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor in Kentucky. I specialize in supporting individuals navigating substance use concerns, anxiety, depression, women’s issues, and the unique challenges of parenting children with disabilities.

My background includes work in community mental health and outpatient substance use treatment, giving me extensive experience meeting clients exactly where they are and helping them build meaningful, sustainable change.

My approach is collaborative, practical, and grounded in evidence‐based strategies. I focus on creating a supportive space where you can explore your experiences, strengthen your coping skills, and move toward the life you want with confidence and clarity.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is relaxed, collaborative, and focused on practical problem‐solving. I aim to create a comfortable space where you can talk openly about what’s happening in your life and how it’s affecting you. From there, we work together to identify what’s getting in the way and explore strategies that help you move closer to the life you want.

Our conversations are laid‐back and supportive, never rushed or pressured. You set the pace and the depth of what you want to explore. I don’t come in with an agenda—I’m here to honor your autonomy, respect your values, and help you make decisions that feel right for you. My role is to offer guidance, insight, and evidence‐based tools that empower you to navigate challenges with clarity and confidence.

What you can expect from me

In our first sessions, you can expect a relaxed, comfortable, and down‐to‐earth atmosphere. I approach therapy as a collaborative problem‐solving process—a friendly, laid‐back conversation where you can talk about what’s going on in your life and how you’re feeling. As you share your experiences, I draw on my clinical expertise to help you explore what’s getting in the way and identify steps that move you closer to the life you want.

You set the pace. There’s no pressure to dive deeper than you’re ready for, and I never come in with an agenda. My role is to support your autonomy, honor your values, and create a space where you feel safe to explore your concerns at whatever depth feels right for you. Together, we’ll begin building clarity, direction, and a plan that fits your goals and your unique needs
