Great to meet you!
With a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Special Education, I bring over 10 years of experience in trauma and addiction counseling, along with 2 years of professional counseling supporting children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families.
I work with clients navigating a wide range of concerns, including ADHD, bipolar disorder, depression, eating disorders, family and relationship challenges, cultural and identity-related concerns, LGBTQ+ concerns, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), PTSD and trauma, stress management, women's issues, and life transitions.
My therapeutic approach is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to each client's unique needs. I integrate evidence-based modalities including Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Strengths-Based Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Attachment-Based Therapy, Somatic Therapy, and Attachment-Based Family Therapy.
As a biracial therapist with African American and Norwegian heritage, and as someone who is bilingual in English and Norwegian, I understand that culture, identity, and lived experiences shape how we experience the world. I strive to create an inclusive, affirming space where clients from diverse backgrounds feel seen, understood, and supported. I also offer therapy in both English and Norwegian.
