Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who understands that people often come to therapy carrying more than what others can see. I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship challenges, life changes, and concerns related to substance use and recovery. My goal is to understand what life has been like for you, recognize the strengths that have helped you get this far, and help you identify what you would like to change. I strive to provide a space where you can feel comfortable being yourself and talking openly without fear of judgment.

My approach to therapy

I don't believe therapy should look exactly the same for everyone. I take time to listen and understand what is happening in your life before deciding together what may be helpful. Depending on your needs, we may work on thoughts and emotions, communication, boundaries, coping skills, past experiences, or practical problems happening right now. I use approaches such as CBT, motivational interviewing, solution-focused therapy, mindfulness, and trauma-informed care, while keeping our work practical and focused on the goals that matter to you.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is a chance for us to get to know one another and talk about what brought you to therapy. I will ask questions to better understand what you are experiencing, your background, your strengths, and what you would like to work on. You will also have time to ask questions and decide what you want from therapy. You don't need to arrive knowing exactly what to say or where to begin—we can figure that out together. The first session is the beginning of a conversation, not a test you need to prepare for.
