Great to meet you!

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor with more than 30 years of experience helping adults navigate mental health, substance use, and life’s many transitions. Many of the people I work with are coping with depression, anxiety, grief and loss, relationship stress, or the impact of addiction on their lives and work. Together, we’ll focus on what matters most to you right now—whether that’s finding relief from overwhelming emotions, rebuilding trust, or maintaining long-term recovery.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is practical, collaborative, and grounded in what has been shown to work. I draw from solution-focused, strengths-based, and relapse prevention approaches, and I tailor these tools to fit your unique situation, history, and goals. We’ll start by clarifying what you’d like to be different in your life, then create a focused plan that feels manageable and respectful of your pace. Throughout our work, I’ll offer clear feedback, education when it’s helpful, and concrete strategies you can use between sessions, so you’re not just talking about change—you’re actively practicing it.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we’ll start by talking about what brought you to therapy now and what you’re hoping will feel different. I’ll ask some questions about your history, current stressors, and any substance use or workplace concerns, but there’s no pressure to share more than you’re ready for. Together, we’ll identify a few immediate priorities and agree on a starting plan, so you leave with a sense of direction, some concrete next steps, and the reassurance that you don’t have to sort this out on your own.
