My journey to becoming a mental health provider developed out of an interest in human behaviors; specifically, how our present relationships are influenced by early attachments. After completing several degrees from New York University and further postgraduate psychoanalytic training, my clinical work in a variety of outpatient settings led me to a deeper understanding of the importance of individualized care for each person. I concluded that the creation of a safe space for clients in navigating their mental health journeys is an imperative for my continued professional work as a mental health

specialist.

As a provider I continue to follow advances in psychodynamic, psychoanalytic and evidence based practice research.

The intake process includes the taking of a comprehensive psychosocial history. Treatment plans are directed toward improving social, occupational and interpersonal functioning.

An essential feature of this approach is that a person and the therapist develop a unique and trusting relationship. In this safe, non-judgmental environment, a person's difficulties are discussed, and we explore attendant problems, history, relationships and goals.
