Great to meet you!
My name is Sandy Maeshiro and I am a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist. I have over 30 years of experience working with children and families. I began my career as a Preschool teacher and went on to work as an elementary and middle school teacher. My career choices changed as I began to see that children’s emotional and social well-being greatly influenced their ability to learn and and be successful in school. I returned to school and earned a Master’s in Counseling, a Master’s in Psychology and a became a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. After working in the public school system for 35 years I began a new career working with 0-5 year olds and their families and also working with parents in recovery from substance abuse. I love working with people and supporting them in their journeys to find fulfillment and happiness as they explore their options and choices in life. Being comfortable with oneself is an important value to me and so I encourage ethnic and racial pride and social justice as important components in seeking a full life.
