Great to meet you!

Hi there, I'm Sandi!

Seeking therapy is a courageous and powerful step toward understanding yourself, addressing emotional challenges, and building the skills to lead a more fulfilling life. Whatever difficulties life throws your way, therapy can provide a safe, confidential space to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences.

My focus

Have you been struggling with anxious thoughts and self-doubt? I work with teens and adults who are managing anxiety, life transitions, and those seeking support for self-esteem issues. Whether you’re working through trauma, building coping skills, or exploring your personal goals, I will take this journey with you.

My communication style

Therapy is your time to be heard. I will patiently listen without judgment and help you reflect and process your feelings and beliefs.

My journey to mental healthcare

My journey to a mental health therapist began with my interest and intrigue with psychology in college. Additionally, I have had several extended family members who struggled with mental health issues over the years. The combination of interest and personal investment in mental health led me to this path.

Masters Social Work (MSW) from Aurora University and a Master of Science (MS) from University of Louisville.

My goals for you

Setting goals for treatment is a fluid process. Together, we'll identify what makes sense to you. Growth comes in manageable, sustainable steps. Therapy is a journey in self-discovery and awareness.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic approach includes EMDR, CBT, DBT, Mindfulness Based, Family Systems, Interpersonal, and Psychoanalytic among others. If you are interested in pursuing EMDR, I have found this approach to be especially effective. You will process targets that you have identified throughout your life, which may be causing you pain in the present.

What you can expect from me

I would like to get to know you. If you feel comfortable telling your story, this session can be self-directed. You can tell me about your history, your challenges, and your priorities. If this free following approach does not feel comfortable, I can guide you through some questions that may help you identify your goals for therapy.
