I obtained my Masters in Social Work in 2001 from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA. In my 13 years of being a LCSW I have worked in a variety of mental health settings including inpatient psychiatric care, hospital ER, Adoption, and Adult Protective Services. My areas of specialty include depression, anxiety, substance abuse, relationship struggles, identity crisis, death of a loved one, divorce/separation, improving communication, and blended family issues.

I believe that no single approach is the right one for every individual which is why I use a variety of therapy approaches including CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, solution focused, and ACT.
