Sandriekia Baker

Sandy Baker, Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the owner of Abundant Life Mental Health LLC, based in Louisiana and an LSU graduate. Sandy works with adolescents and adults of all ages in specialty areas including trauma, grief, life transitions, chronic mental illness, identity issues, communication and relationships. Sandy has a professional background in behavioral health in both inpatient and outpatient settings, medical social work including hospice and home health and school social work.

I believe an individualized treatment approach is significant because each client is unique. I utilize an integrative therapeutic approach to help clients feel empowered in their responses to life stressors. I help my clients to identify ways to effectively cope with the effects of trauma, grief and life transitions. I assist my clients in developing healthy relationships and creating plans for self care.

My objective is to collaborate with clients in the goal setting stage of therapy, to ensure that the client is committed to the process. I create a safe space for clients to come to me in their most vulnerable state, meeting them where they are without judgement. Typically, I would like to see that my clients are making progress in therapy towards the goals that we have set and that they gain the confidence they need to successfully navigate obstacles in their daily lives outside of therapy.
