Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Registered Nurse in Florida with more than 30 years of experience helping adults navigate emotional challenges, health concerns, and major life transitions.

I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, grief and loss, relationship concerns, self-esteem and body-image issues, emotional eating, and adjustment to illness or other unexpected changes in life. My nursing background also gives me a unique understanding of the connection between physical and emotional health, including the challenges that can accompany medical conditions, bariatric surgery, weight management, and GLP-1 treatment.

My approach is warm, compassionate, practical, and nonjudgmental. I believe therapy should be collaborative and focused on what is most important to you. My goal is to provide a comfortable place where you can talk openly, gain perspective, develop useful coping strategies, and feel supported as you work toward meaningful change.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, supportive, practical, and collaborative. I believe that each person brings their own strengths, experiences, and perspective to therapy, so I tailor our work to the individual rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach.

I provide a nonjudgmental space where clients can speak openly and feel heard. Together, we identify concerns, recognize patterns that may be getting in the way, build on existing strengths, and develop practical strategies for moving forward.

My style is conversational and down-to-earth. I believe therapy can provide both support and insight while also helping clients make meaningful, realistic changes in their everyday lives.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and for me to understand what brings you to therapy. I want you to feel comfortable, heard, and never judged or rushed.

We’ll talk about what is happening in your life, what you would like to change, and what you hope to gain from therapy. Together, we’ll begin identifying your goals and deciding what approach will be most helpful for you.

You don’t need to arrive knowing exactly what to say or where to begin. We’ll figure that out together. My goal is for you to leave your first session feeling that you have been heard, that there is a plan moving forward, and that you have someone in your corner.
