Great to meet you!

Individuals are their own unique combinations of identities and experiences. I'm a Bangladeshi Muslim American Child of immigrants New Yorker who has interests in mental health advocacy, music, books and dungeons & dragons.I have worked in community education, University counseling center and private practice settings. All of which combine to allow me to draw on multitude of experiences to provide a unique kind of care as a therapist.

I often work with individuals on grief, anxiety, depression, academic and family stress as well as relationship concerns. I look forward to working with you!

My approach to therapy

In our first session, we'll explore what brings you to therapy and what style might work best. Then moving forward, we will adapt to be responsive to growth and new objectives. I often approach my understanding through a Relational Multicultural Psychodynamic lens, incorporating Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques to support specific skill building.

What you can expect from me

I often work with clients who are going through/processing life transitions and grief. Additionally, provide space to explore any and all kinds of relationships. During initial sessions, we will start the journey of how we want to collaborate which will allow us create focus areas and plans to approach issues as well as curiosities.
