Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Santa Elisa Peña, LPC-S. I specialize in working with individuals who are navigating trauma, life transitions, and identity exploration.

My approach is warm, supportive, and trauma-informed. I believe that healing happens in safe, trusting relationships, and I strive to create a space where you feel seen, heard, and respected.

I tailor therapy to fit your unique needs and goals. Whether you’re processing past experiences or just feeling stuck, I’m here to help you reconnect with your strength and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.

You don’t need to have it all figured out to begin—just a willingness to start.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and client-centered. I believe that each person brings a unique story, and my role is to create a safe, supportive space where you can explore that story with curiosity and courage. My style is warm, grounded, and interactive—I’m not the type to sit silently and nod. I’ll ask questions, offer reflections, and gently challenge patterns that may be keeping you stuck.

I draw from several therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness practices, and psychodynamic approaches, depending on your needs and goals. I also have a deep respect for trauma-informed care and take a culturally responsive lens to my work, always mindful of how your environment, identity, and lived experiences shape your mental health.

What you can expect from our first session

My hope is that you leave each session feeling a little more grounded, a little more seen, and a little more equipped to handle whatever’s going on. That might look like new ways of thinking about things, tools to manage stress, or just the relief of being able to talk things through with someone who gets it.

Over time, you might notice yourself feeling more confident, more clear on what you need, and better able to show up in your life the way you want to. I aim to create a space that feels calm, honest, and affirming—where you don’t have to filter yourself or have it all figured out. We’ll figure things out together.
