Great to meet you!

I am a licensed clinical therapist with extensive experience giving supportive guidance to families, couples, adolescents, and individuals, experiencing challenging life stages, transitions, and crises. My (MSW) Master of Social Work focus was Clinical Practice-Individuals, Adolescents, with additional training in couples and family therapy, from Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College and Ackerman Institute for the Family.

A bit about my approach to therapy

There is no one approach to therapy that is appropriate for everyone. Regardless of the similarities that our problems may have in root cause, be it traumatic events, neglect, childhood abuse; our current issues and struggles (anxiety, depression, or PTSD) require a discerning eye to find the right approach for everyone’s unique personality.

What you can expect from our first session

I provide a safe and supportive space for my clients to explore the conscious/ unconscious dynamics we all live with. I find the use of gentle humor allows us to safely explore the serious worries and challenges we’re dealing with. I incorporate therapeutic modalities ranging from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Focused, Internal Family Systems, Mindfulness-Based, and Motivational Interviewing, among other modalities.
