Great to meet you!

Hey, I’m Santianna, a Licensed Professional Counselor dedicated to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges, heal from past experiences, and create meaningful change. My professional background includes experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families across a variety of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, self-esteem, life transitions, and emotional regulation.

Before becoming a counselor, I worked in education as a 1st grae teacher, which deepened my understanding of child development, family dynamics, and the unique emotional needs of children and adolescents. I bring that same patience, compassion, and insight into my therapy work today.

I value creating a nonjudgmental,d affirming space where clients feel safe being themselves.

My goal is to help clients feel empowered, understood, and equipped with tools to improve their emotional well-being and relationships.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to each client’s unique needs. I believe therapy is not one-size-fits-all, so I work with clients to identify their goals and create a treatment plan that feels supportive and realistic.

I draw from evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, strengths-based therapy, mindfulness techniques, and trauma-informed care. Together, we explore thought patterns, emotions, behaviors, and past experiences that may be impacting present challenges.

I also value helping clients build practical coping skills, improve communication, strengthen self-awareness, and develop healthier relationships with themselves and others.

Whether a client is seeking healing, growth, clarity, or emotional support, I strive to meet them where they are while helping them move toward where they want to be.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect a welcoming, supportive, and judgment-free environment during the first session. My goal is to help you feel comfortable and heard as we begin to get to know one another.

During our first meeting, we will discuss what brings you to therapy, your current concerns, relevant personal history, strengths, and what you hope to gain from counseling. We will also explore any immediate needs and begin identifying treatment goals.

The first session is also an opportunity for you to ask questions and determine whether I feel like a good fit for your therapeutic journey. Building trust and safety is important, and I aim to create a space where you can show up authentically from day one.

Clients often leave the first session with greater clarity, hope, and a sense of direction for the work ahead.
