Great to meet you!

Healing happens when we feel truly understood, which is why I bring my whole self into the room. I am a proud Egyptian-American, and my Islamic background has given me a deep respect for faith, community, and the complexities of holding multiple identities. My journey into this field started at UC Davis, where I earned my Bachelor’s in Psychology and Sociology, and continued at Palo Alto University where I earned my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Currently, I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) pursuing my Doctorate in Psychology with an emphasis on teaching. This blend of academic rigor and lived experience allows me to connect deeply with clients who are balancing cultural traditions with personal growth.

My approach to therapy

I believe that you are the expert of your own life, and my role is to help you reconnect with that inner wisdom. My style is eclectic, meaning I pull from various therapeutic models to suit your unique needs. However, my work is deeply rooted in Person-Centered therapy (meeting you with genuine empathy) and Somatic work (helping you understand how stress and trauma live in the body). Above all, I prioritize creating a space that is culturally empathetic—where your background is not just acknowledged, but honored as a vital part of your story.

What you can expect from me

You can expect our first session to feel less like an intimidating intake interview and more like a conversation with someone who genuinely wants to understand you. Think of it as journaling out loud. My goal is to make you feel seen, heard, and understood without any judgment. We’ll talk about what brought you here, but more importantly, we’ll focus on what it feels like to finally have a safe space to let your guard down.
